Super seven is a trade name for quartz carrying several inclusions at once — typically violet from amethyst, rust and red from iron oxides, and black from smoky or tourmaline phases. The result is a bead that looks almost painted.

Is it different from amethyst?
Amethyst is one even violet colour. Super seven shows several inclusions in one bead, which is why it is graded by density rather than colour.
